Around 20 years in the computer hardware engineering and software development (1972-1991). Worked as a researcher and public assistant in the National Archives - specializing in the Merchant Marine and 19th/20th century Military history. I ran my own Digital Editing and Creative business 2004 - 2006 then retired. I am involved locally in voluntary work for the even more elderly and have a relaxed and happy life. I am lucky enough to belong to the golden generation but in comparison with most here I guess I am old and creaky.
